Self-Esteem

The Comparison Trap

Why is it that seeing someone you don’t even talk to anymore on Facebook sends you spiraling down with negative thoughts? You think, “I’m ugly and have accomplished nothing. I’ll never be happy like her.”

Social Media makes it seem like everyone else has it together. People post perfectly filtered highlights of their life. If you’re already feeling meh, it can fuel the self-hatred.

It’s so easy to fall headfirst into the trap of thinking that you aren’t where you “should” be compared to others. Hearing about someone else happily engaged, enjoying a brilliant career, or doing exciting things brings up resentment and jealousy. Comparing your body to pictures of others makes you feel you are not good enough.

The truth is that you’re a wonderful human, want others to be happy. AND you want to be happy, too.

Let Go of Low-Key Hating Yourself

How you feel about yourself affects work, friendships, relationships – basically all parts of life! Low-key hating yourself makes you hide from others out of fear of being judged: cue sadness and loneliness.

Feeling insecure equals more worries, more avoiding people, and less taking risks that could bring you more joy. Feeling bad about yourself gets in the way of being happier!

The fantastic thing is that you don’t have to keep breaking yourself down. Society, family, and experiences have taught you to feel bad about yourself. You weren’t born thinking you’re a good-for-nothing failure. You learned that, and anything learned is unlearnable.

Discovering Who You Are

In our sessions, you’ll talk out those pesky negative thought patterns that swirl in your mind. Breathe in peace and new, helpful thoughts; breathe out the BS!

You’ll go deep to discover your authentic, genuine, fantastic self. These are the unique qualities that make you, you. Those qualities include the strength you didn’t realize you had and the beauty you had learned to discount.

Life is so much more exciting when you know you are worthy of great things and can confidently put yourself out there!

Do It for Yourself

And, do it because the world needs you to show up fully present in your own life.

Interestingly enough, when we feel good about who we are, we can use our greatest potential and create change worldwide.

Forget those comparisons and hating yourself because you have much to offer.

Let’s work together and help you find the self-esteem that has been there all along.
